Home and Broke.....!

Well, the holiday is over now- back to reality & the cold British weather!
Had a fabulous time in Orlando- weather warm, couple good hot days, frosty mornings & evenings-well it is November! Still managed to cram in a couple of Ghirardelli ice cream sundaes whilst wrapped up in fleecies & jeans! All the locals were going around in jeans,  jumpers, scarves & gloves- whilst us hardened sun loving (I will get a bit of a tan on my white body!) people were going around in  shorts & tee shirts! Will post some piccies later!(Not of me trying to tan my white body- it wouldn't be right or pleasant!)

We have both decided we are going on diets & getting on the exercise bike now we are home - to get rid of all the muffins, cookies, ice cream &  food we ate! See how long that will last!!

Can't wait to get back to doing some of the craft challenges- did take load of stamped images to colour in whilst away-how sad am I. Managed to visit lots craft stores to stock up-( Micheal's, Jo-Anns, Scrap- booking, etc). Simon surprisingly took me , no qualms, he must have been going down with something! We did have to buy another suitcase though- not for all my crafting things- Simon did buy loads of clothes!

Bella has at last forgiven me for leaving her at the cattery! We've had lots of cuddles & she likes her new Harley Davidson- Bad to the Bone collar. Can definitely recommend the cattery we took her to.

Glad to hear Mrs Wonka's pussy cat, Arthur, is home safe & sound and none the worse for his ordeal.

Going to catch up with my lack of sleep now, as the old jet lag is catching up !

On Vacation....!!

Sorry I haven't been keeping my blog up to date.. we're on holiday in Orlando would you believe!!!!

Thought we would have wireless access in our room, but we do not- bummer! Have had to come to the complex reception for access.

The weather here is in the late 60's this week, but has been up to the late 70's early 80's. Its chilly in the mornings & early evenings- but we can live with that!!! Have taken a couple of pictures to upload- just to say we are doing something else apart from shopping & relaxing. We went down to Cocoa/Port Canaveral last week to see the night take off of the Endeavour Space Shuttle- that was really cool- loads of people down there to watch as well- just pulled in along the roadside.Took few pictures but they haven't come out too good!

Been to Universal too- been on the new Simpson's ride & had our picture taken with the Sampson's- how cool!!

Well, gotta go now as off for more action packed day on the crazy golf course at Disney Fantasia Golf- catch up with you later!!

Haven't checked Mrs Wonkas blog yet, but hope there is good news on the return of Arthur, her missing pussy cat.

Doh!!

Just realised can't use this card for the Penny Black Challenge.. as it isn't a Penny Black stamp!!! Will have to try reading the instructions properly next time!! Oh well must be getting time for bed as am not paying attention to what I'm doing ( or am getting into holiday mode & thinking about all the things to do before we go!). Think its more of the former than the latter- holiday mode comes when checked in at the airport , waiting to board the plane - although don't want to go at moment as got to leave my baby behind for 2 weeks. Got to take her to the cattery, but know am going to be upset to leave her! What if she doesn't want to come home or doesn't love me anymore for leaving her!! I can't think about that now as too tired...

Giddy up...

It's my nieces birthday next week & I was hoping that there was a horsey Magnolia stamp. Joy of joys there was!! She loves horses and regularly goes horse riding. I wouldn't have been able to not give her a hand made card as she loves getting them. I based the card on a challenge sketch, but was too late to enter the challenge. I used: Magnolia stamps- Tilda & horse and fence; Woodware stamp flower; K & Co cowboy 6x6 papers; faux leather cord; Bazzill Swiss dot card; Bazzill card; Quickutz die photo corners & Venus alphabet dies; water colour pencils & Yasutomo shimmer water colours.

P is for Pink....

Here is my card for the ABC weekly challenge which is P... is for Pink. I made this card for one of the girls at work whose birthday it is in the week. Oh what it is to be young!! I've forgotten what it was like to be 18- it seems so long ago....
Anyway here's what I used: paper from Provo craft; paper flowers; Quickutz dies; Cricut George Basic cartridge; Doodlebug sugar coated card; Bazzill bling; stickles. I can't remember the name of the dotty card. I hope you like it.

On a more serious note- Mrs Wonka has lost her pussy cat Arthur- so thoughts go out to her for his safe & quick return. Keep us updated Mrs Wonka.

She also very kindly nominated me for a blog award, but unfortunately I do not have a clue how to add it to my blog- still not very good at this yet! So if anyone out there could help...

Cheers!!

The theme this week over at Cute card Thursday is a drink theme( not necessarily alcoholic!). I found these Woodware Francoise Reed stamps that I had sitting in my stamp box & thought I would dust off the cobwebs. I tried stamping onto white Bazzill bling card for a change, but it wasn't that successful, even with the Stazon ink, but thought I would persevere with it. I also used paper rom my stash, buttons, gems, H2O paints & black gelly roll pen. Quite liked the finished card, although feel have made better ones.

Bella's New Mode of Transport!

Yes you do need to carry me around everywhere- don't you know I have a poorly paw!

Been to the vets again this afternoon & at last they are happy that her paw is healing properly. Had to take her in last Friday to see how it was healing & if she could have her 2nd jabs, but they were not happy as it didn't seem to be getting better. We had to continue bathing her paw in salt water & giving her the antibiotics over the weekend, but thankfully it is much better. Mind you, you wouldn't think that there was anything wrong with her- she has been dashing around, jumping up & onto everything, and playfully biting & scratching us as though there was nothing the matter! Hope she grows more hair over her wound as she's going to have an odd looking paw!!

Leaving Card

This was the card I made for one of my collegues who left recently. I knew what I wanted to make and then luckily the Quickutz dies came out! Perfect timing or what!
I used the new cooks dies, the pizza die, cake die, chicken drumstick pirates shirt & Indians head dress for his kerchief. The ginham paper was from my stock.
Hope you like it.

Bella The Brave!

Poor baby, Bella had to have her wound cleaned out. The vet found a tiny flower seed head in there, which was why it was not healing! My brave little soldier is home now, none the worse for her ordeal. Got to take her back for a check up on Friday - will definately be getting pet insurance for her now! She's been running around as though nothing was wrong since she came home, although at the moment she's having a kitty nap.

Poor Bella

Have not long been back from the Vets. Had to take Bella Blue for her 2nd set of injections this afternoon, but have have had to postpone them as we have to take her in tomorrow for an operation on her paw.
I took her in on Thursday as she had a small lump on her paw. The vet said she had an abscess & gave us some antibiotics for it. He said they would check it when we came in for her jabs, however the vet wasn't happy today as it doesn't appear to be healing. We now have to take her in at 8.30 am for them to knock her out to clean out the wound & see what she has in it!!! Poor baby! She doesn't seem bothered by it all & is still racing around & jumping onto everything.
Will let you know how we get on tomorrow.

My First Post!

My Parents Birthdays

Exploding Box created for Dad, using Quickutz tool dies & brought tools  assorted card & mirror board. Quite pleased as this was my first attempt of making one after the class with Wendy Horrod.

The card I made for Dad using Jolly Nation decoupage paper.

Exploding box made for Mum, using Quickutz dies & Prima flowers

The birthday cake was made by one of the cooks at work.
Think he did a really good job, as he only had 2 weeks notice to make it!

Their birthdays are the day after each other and it gets harder each year as to what cards to make for them. Didn't put the card I made for Mum on as not that pleased with it.
