Stamp With Us Recipe....

The challenge over at Stamp With Us this week was to use only the following- 4 x patterned papers, 2 x card stock & NO other embellishments! OMG! How difficult was this not to use any ribbon, flowers or bling on a card!!!!

This was a tough one I can tell you, but here is what I managed to come up with- hope you likey!

For this card I used:

Papers- Close to Cocoa Designer Paper set

Cardstock - Choc Chip & Whisper White

Ink- Timber brown Staz on pad

Stamps- retired set( sorry don't know name)

Well off to the bathroom to get showered & dressed, and then to do the housework etc- joy of joys!- at least I won't feel soooo guilty when I do get back into the sad room to try to do some more challenges later!

I will also post some photos of my poorly new car that one of the neighbours down the road kindly chinked for me this week!! I am not a happy bunny!!!

Challenge

I'm back..... did anyone miss me??? Possibly not. LOL!!

We have just got back from a lovely, relaxing holiday to California- where the sunshine was glorious!! I will post a few piccies later, when I get organised.

I must admit, I couldn't wait to get back to see my baby as I missed her no end- I did have an email from the cattery to say she was OK- last time, I phoned them from America to check she was fine-am I the only one that does crazy things like that?

I have been lazy as of late with blogging & entries to challenges, so am going to try to keep up a bit more in the future - famous last words, ha,ha!

I have started with the Papertakeweekly Challenge this week, which is to use a download on your project. It can be a paper, an image or both. I have used both!

For my card, I used a free download from Scrapbookingmad. Go check them out for a great range of downloads.

I also used glossy accents, foam pads, pearl accents from Kaisercraft and Bazzill Swiss dots card.

Yippee Yi Yaaaaay!!!!

At last I have finished the wedding stationary for the colleague at work!!

I will hand over the menus, table plan, place cards & favour boxes today and now can think about packing for my holiday & catching up with all these challenges I have missed over the past few weeks!!!

I had to make 60 x place cards, 24 x adult menus, 6 x children's menus(scrolls) , 60 favour boxes, table plan(which I have kept simple) and that was on top of the almost 90 invitations I had already made. I know its not a lot compared to what some others have to make, but it seemed like I was never gonna get them finished at all!!!

I tried to keep the theme running through the whole set- my poor Cuttlebug embossing folder will never be the same again! The colours were burgundy, cream & gold. It's been hard work finishing it all, but I think It was worth it and I hope she likes them all- too late now if not as I cannot change anything for her.

Well off to get ready for work, then do all the housework when get home so house is clean & tidy for my holiday!
