Anyone For Anya Challenge...

The challenge over at Anyone For Anya is to use charms on your project. This is the first time I have entered their challenges, as I have only just started getting some Greetings Farm stamps. I must admit, I wasn't too sure of them at first, but they have grown on me!!

For this card I used the following:

Water coloured image, with glitter glue on wings & 3-d ; Lasting Impressions paper; Bazzill card; SU border punch; Martha Stewart leaf punch; Prima flower; Sue Dreamer charm; ribbon & lace from stash. I have also distressed the edges of the paper.

Well I'm officially fed up with this weather at the moment- did get into work today though! Our road is still treacherous, as it has turned to slush & many people are having problems with their cars slipping as they come down it. Had to push hubby's car up the drive, with some help from the neighbours, as he kept slipping & couldn't get up the drive-that was no easy task as he has rear wheel drive BMW! Ended up with 4 of us clearing the slush, putting down cat litter in front of the wheels & pushing him up the drive! Think I'm going for a soak in the bath, as my backs aching now!!
Hope it does rain tonight & washes the snow away- a much as it does look pretty with everything all white.

Hope you are keeping warm & safe on the roads & pavements..

Fussy & Fancy First Challenge...

The 1st challenge over at the Fussy & Fancy blog is....."New".
This can be anything to do with something new, new home, beginnings, baby, job, etc.

I tried something new for me & tried to keep to a very simple card(this is simple for me, as I normally struggle with this).
For my cards I used:

Cuttlebug embossing & die cutting folders; Martha Stewart border punches; Bazzill card; Stampabilities- House Mouse stamp- "Yaaawn" The image as water coloured & 3-d with silicone glue

I so love this stamp, and most of the House Mouse stamps! I am starting to get a few of these stamps, but must stop from spending more money as I promised myself that this year I was going to use all the stamps & stash I already have!

Well no more snow over night- but no telling if we will get anymore today- it is forecast.
Bella actually likes it outside in the snow- she disappears for ages! We think she's sneaking off somewhere else warm for a couple of hours & then decides to come home! She managed to come home last night minus another collar! I managed to find an old one, the last one from the bottomless pit of cat collars! I got it on her this morning before I let her out- boy did I get a look that could kill!LOL!

Catch you later, as I've got a cup of tea with my name on it calling to me!

Just a Card.....

Here's a card I made just because I wanted to use the stamped image that I did a while ago and never got around to using!

I love this stamp and will try to use it again- it was one of those that jump out at you & say "buy me, buy me".
The stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms- and part of the Friendly Kritters collection. This one is called - 'Frog Chorus"

Items used:
Papertake weekly Sketch 31; Basic Grey- Wassail Paper pad; Bazzill card stock; SU Whisper white card; SU- Unfrogettable stamp set; SU circle punches; brads, green Basic Grey paper & border punch from stash.

The frog heads & dragon fly were raised with 3-d foam pads. I also added glitter glue to the dragon fly. The frogs had Glossy accents added to their eyes, tongues, bow ties & nails.

I keep looking at this card & humming the "Frog Chorus" song in my head!

SWU Challenge..

The challenge over at SWU is a colour challenge- hopefully I have managed to get in before its too late!

I have had a go at making a Card Purse with 6 cards to go inside. The instructions are on the Splitcoasters blog, under Resources.

For my project I used the following items:

Always Artichoke, So Saffron & Elegant Eggplant textured card; Whisper white card
Old Olive, So Saffron & Elegant Eggplant ink pads.
Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive gross grain ribbon & So Saffron ribbon from the ribbon bundle offer a while ago.
Whimsical Wings & Best Yet stamp sets.
SU silver brads, oval & round punches, 3-d foam pads.
So Saffron, Old Olive & Perfect Plum DS paper sets

I made the cards to fit the envelopes that I used from my stash. It took most of today to make, as we had to go out on a food run to stock up, just in case we don't have enough to eat from the freezer & cupboards!!
I will post some piccies of the snow we have here later.

Hope you are keeping warm in this snowy weather.

First Easel Card....

I have been looking at these on everyone's blogs for a while, downloaded the instructions- but never got round to making one! This time I decided to go for it- its fairly simple, but I quite like how it turned out.
I had these calenders that I brought a while ago, and almost forgot about them- so thought would use them on the easel card, as I have seen some on other blogs, and thought it was a good idea.
I thought I would enter it in this weeks Forever Friends Challenge
Anyway here's what I used:

SU sage Shadow & Whisper white card; Forever Friends stamped & water coloured image; rub-on sentiment; flowers, brad, glossy accents from stash; Martha Stewart punch; Bo Bunny- Organic Laurel paper; Anita's calendar.

Hope you like my first attempt- think I will be making a few more of these cards!!

Just a Simple Card.....

Just another card that I started before Xmas- and decided to finish it off, and to take part in the ABC Christmas Challenge each week, so that I am ready with all my cards for this year!

For the card:
Daisy & Dandelion downloaded decoupage image; SU sentiment & oval punch;mirror card, Cuttlebug embossing folder, gems, glitter glue & Glossy accents( on his pads, nose, tummy & ears, although you can't really see it). The image was 3-d with silicone glue. I used the gems for the poinsettia centers, but undecided if I like them or not, and glitter glued around the edges to make the poinsettia stand a little more.
I do like the Daisy & Dandelion stamps & got a couple of the Xmas ones (I didn't realise how big the stamps are!)

Catch you later...

A Simple Card..

Another quick post, and then I think I'd better spend some time with poor DH today!
Just a quick & simple card I have made for my parents Wedding Anniversary today! Hope Mum doesn't look at my blog today, as she'll see this before she gets the card!!

Items used:
Craftwork Cards blank card; Quickutz hearts embossing folder; mirror card; sugar coated card; SU Whisper white card; SU white satin ribbon,"Cheers to You" stamped image & scalloped circle punch; Penny Black stamped sentiment inside; gems & rub-on sentiment from stash.

Hope they like it. I'm a bit late with this as they should have had it already, and I thought I had better make them a card, as I didn't give them a hand-made one for Xmas!
