Stamp With Us Recipe....

The challenge over at Stamp With Us this week is a recipe...

1x patterned paper, 2 x ribbons, 1 x flower & 1 x button.

This is what I came up with, using my retired "Unfroggetable' stamp set. You can still get hold of this stamp set, so check with your SU demonstrator.

I don't know if the girls over at SWU will let me get away with using my second ribbon to make the flower- a girl can try!!

For my card I used:
Woodware kraft card, Bo Bunny papers, Bazzill bling card stock( but didn't realise I'd put it around the wrong way-doh!), SU-Old Olive card & punch, button from stash, Nestabilities scalloped rectangle, Kaisercraft pearls & water colour pencils.

Wow- didn't we have a fabulous weekend! The weather was gorgeous- managed to get out & tidy the garden up & did my ironing outside too! The BBQ never came out, as couldn't be bothered to get it all out, so we had an indoor oven cooked BBQ instead!

Packed my parents off to the airport on Monday for their East to West coast of America train & coach trip. Couldn't believe how good my Mum was in only being able to take a medium case, as they have to lug it around themselves throughout the trip- I did tell she would be able to stock up with all her goodies when she got to San Francisco! Dad didn't seem too pleased at that prospect- wonder why???

Well hope you like the card, catch you later as lots to do & no mojo to do it with!!

A Birthday Card...

Hope everyone is enjoying this nice, sunny Bank Holiday weekend! Looks like it could bring out the BBQ's!
Have pulled some bits out the freezer ready- just in case we get to have the BBQ out- although it tends to sit there under its cover just for Bella to hide under & jump out at you as you go past!!

Here's the card I made for my Mums birthday next week- as she & Dad will be on holiday for their birthdays, my sister & I went up today to give them their pressies today. I didn't get around to making one for Dad this year, as I lost any crafting mojo I had in past few weeks, and struggled to make this one for Mum!!

Anyway I actually decorated the insides & back of the card- something of an epic project for me to do! I was desperate to use this new Magnolia stamp I got recently- she's gorgeous!!! I'm also loving the background stamp and can see a few more cards being made with it on!!

For the card I used the following: Bazzill cards, SU whisper white card, My Minds Eye- Bloom & Grow collection of papers, Quickutz Swirl die & alphabet die, SU Pumpkin Pie gross grain ribbon, water coloured Magnolia stamped images, glitter, verse inside card from a cd by 'Crafty Ideas by Kaz'.
The images & some flowers were 3-d with foam pads. I also added some glitter to the flowers & her wings, but not sure if it can be seen!

I also made a gift holder to put some dollars in for Dad- I thought I had better make something for him as I hadn't managed a card! Think the paper was a Bo Bunny paper, with SU sentiment & Magnolia 'Happy Birthday'

Hope you all get to enjoy this glorious weather- off to try to make some cards!!

Another Retirement....

Just a quick post- thought you might like to see another Retirement card for a colleague at work who is retiring this week.
I'm not quite sure how he will take this card.LOL!! Hopefully he'll see the funny side, knowing how much of a sense of humour he has!!

For the card I used the following; blank card from stash, Bazzill card, SU Whisper white , SU Summer Picnic paper, decoupage image from local craft shop, SU Pumpkin Pie gross grain ribbon, sentiment from Woodware ' Tiny Phrases' set & inside a clear stamp set from stash, SU punch & glossy accents.

The image is 3-d with silicone glue & I did put glossy accents on the glass, his false teeth & his glasses, after I took the picture!
I also put a little decoration on the inside!

Hope you like it...

Two for One???

I made this card for the Colour Create challenge this week of 'Blue & Green', but it might also just sneak in for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge of 'Touchy Feely'.
I had this Tilda in my box ready to use on something, so this was ideal to use her- she has been paper pieced & 3-d with foam pads.
I also used: Magnolia stamps; SU sentiment; felt flowers, buttons, lace & ribbon from my stash; the paper is Basic Grey & the punches are SU.
Sorry its a rushed post, but gotta get ready for work!

Boxed Baby Shoes & a Card.

Yesterday's challenge over on the SWU on-line challenge was set by Natalie. It was to make, from her instructions, a box with a pair of baby bootees & a card to match.
This was such a lovely project & I wonder if a certain new Auntie, would like to make one of these too!
I didn't use any SU papers, as I don't have any yet that would have suited this theme.
Anyway I did use the following items:
Bazzill Swiss dots card, patterned paper, ribbons, sugar coated brads & SU stamps-Polka Dot Punches, sentiments from, 'Best Yet' & 'Circle of Friends".
If you want to join in with all the great projects & live Chat sessions with challenges, then go on over to the Stamp with Us site for further details- what are you waiting for???? Go on before its too late.........

Catch you later, more creating to do......!

18th Birthday card for a relative...

I always struggle when it comes to making a card for a male - even more so when its for a relative!!
It's my husbands cousins son's 18th this month( wow..that was a mouthful!!), and I didn't want to make the usual football themed card I do for him.
I thought I would try something different & use one of the Wendy Stenton card templates I've got sitting on the shelf for yonks!
I'm not sure if I like it or not- don't know if its too busy or too dark with the colours! Oh well, too late now - its made!!

Anyway here's what I used:
Papers: cream card, Kaiser scrapbook- 'Rough & Tough', Cloud9Design- Hannah's Story-'Thin stripe'.
Stamps: Magnolia - Edwin, dog & ' Happy Birthday'
Misc: Quickutz dies for name & 18th, glossy accents.

I don't know if you can see, but I did put the glossy accents on Edwin's shoes & his dogs nose & both were 3-d with foam pads. There are some 18's hiding inside the card also!

Right that's 2 down -only got my mums 60th , my Dad & Father- in - laws birthday cards to make, and the rest of the wedding stationary for the girl at work & a wedding card for her, by the end of this month! In between that fit in all the online challenges with Stamp with Us every day- phew!
Right where to start......

A Card for my Mum...

I made a card to send to my Mum, as she retired today. I thought it was next week that she was to retire- so I'm a bit late making her a card & posting it to her- hope she forgives me!!
I've noticed I've got the purple phase again in my card making!

For my card I've used:
Papers- form stash & Bazzill Bling card
Stamps- Magnolia's & sentiments from stash
Misc- sugar coated brads, Doodlebug ribbon, glossy accents & gelly glaze pen.

I 3-d the Tilda image using foam pads & used glossy accents on the butterflies. I also managed to decorate the inside!

I love this background stamp & the Tilda- think I will be using them both a lot more in the future!!

Well am off to bed as soon as Dora the Explorer decides to come home- as got work in the morning & need to see the Agency cook in at 8.30 am, then go to the scheme I'm covering- no rest for the wicked, hey!

See you soon,

Good enough to eat.....

The challenge over at Truly Scrumptious this week is a sketch, with the added twist of making your project- good enough to eat!
I already had this image stamped & ready to go but didn't know what to use it on- ha, along came the TS challenge this week- problem solved!!
I also decorated the inside- something else I'm not very good at doing, as I'm normally too lazy to do so, or want to keep the papers for another project!

For the card, I used the following:

Stamps : Magnolia cake & sentiment on front from KI Memories- 'Birthday Verbology" set & sentiment inside from Penny black- 'Every day'.
Papers : Bazzill Bling card, papers from stash -been sitting there for yonks, waiting to be used!!
Misc : Paper flowers, Sugar coated brads(Doodlebug?), glitter glue & liquid pearls.
I glitter glued the tulips for a little bling- not sure if it shows.
Hope you like it.

Well I'm off to do the chores I didn't do yesterday, as I had the parents- in- law up for coffee & we were invited out to a BBQ!
Enjoy your Bank Holiday Monday, whatever you are doing- I know I am, as its the first I'm not working this year!!

See you later

Orange, Green & Brown....

Thought I would try & do this challenge before it was too late.
The theme over at Colour Create is orange, green & brown, with the added challenge of making it a male themed card! That made it harder, as male themed cards are always harder to do!!
Anyway,I thought I'd have a crack at it, (excuse the pun!!!) as I had brought a new Magnolia stamp today in the sale at CUL.

For my card I used the following:
Papers: Bo Bunny-'U Bug Me! Stars', SU Whisper White & Pumpkin Pie card, Core'dinations card (embossed with Cuttlebug folder).
Misc : Buttons, raffia, textured strip from stash.
Stamps : Edwin & Chicken, sentiment from Hero Arts- 'Petite Greetings'
The image was 3-d after it was water coloured. I also used diluted down glitter glaze pens on the chicken & sky for a bit of sparkle!!

Hope you like him.
Well of to bed as its almost midnight again- can't have 2 late nights in a row, as will be so grouchy in the morning!!

Stamp With Us Challenge... and Online classes!!

Last night saw the launch of the online classes at SWU
OMG!!- 2 x challenges & online chat - couldn't keep up with it all!!! You certainly need to be nimble fingered & not worry about keeping up with the conversations , as you get to be involved with half a dozen at a time!!

The challenges were great (although I didn't get my little envelope in time, I improvised with what SU products I had!)- I know everyone had a great time, and new friends will be made!

This weeks challenge over at SWU was a recipe to follow- 2x patterned paper, 1x ribbon, 4x brads.
For my projects I used the following:
Craftwork Cards card blank; paper from 'Summer Picnic' set; whisper white card; stamps-from 'Botanical Blooms' & 'Best Yet' sets; ribbon & brads from stash.
The flowers were 3-d with sticky pads.

I can't wait till today's challenge begins over at the SWU online class- wonder what Monica will get us doing now!!

If you haven't signed up yet for the online classes, go on over to SWU to see if you can join up - you'll wish you had!

Well it looks like its going to be a lovely day out there today- will have to get all my chores (cooking, cleaning, housework & ironing) done so I can go out & enjoy some of that sunshine!
Hope you get to enjoy the good weather too!

Razzle, Dazzle...

The challenge this week over at Daisy & Dandelion is to add some bling to your card or creation! I love any challenge where you can add some bling! (Mrs Wonka beware- I'm chasing you for using bling on my cards too! LOL)

Here's what I used for my card:
Card & papers- Craftwork Cards card, Bazzill Bling card, Imaginisce- For Peeps Sake 'Drapin Daisies' paper, SU -Whisper White card stock.
Stamps - 'Squeak' clear stamp & sentiment from SU 'Best Yet' set.
Misc - grosgrain ribbons, gems & paper flowers from stash, Bazzill pearl brad & glitter glue.
I did use some Glossy Accents on his nose, paws & tummy & water coloured the image, the daisies on the paper have had glitter glue added for some extra bling! I have inked the edges of the papers & card with ColourBox 'Creamy Brown' Chalk inkpad, as I always do, as I'm not too good with crisp clean edges!

I did think that he might have looked better if he was 3-d, but that meant stamping & colouring another image- and I was too lazy to do that!

Hope you like it anyway..
